As promised, Blackbird Interactive has officially announced mod tool support for the space-based RTS game Homeworld 3. Additionally, it has released an editor as well as support for downloading mods.
Those who want to download and play mods for Homeworld 3 will now be able to do so with the in-game Homeworld 3 mod menu powered by mod.io. Currently only new Skirmish Maps can be downloaded without any additional effort. Some modes have a “Manual Installation” label. These mods also have a “More Information” button that, when clicked, directs users to the mod.io site.
Those who want to create and distribute mods for Homeworld 3 will be able to download Homeworld 3 Mod Tools and Editor for free from the Epic Game Store. Let us underline that you do not need to have purchased the Homeworld 3 game from the Epic Games Store to make mods for the game.
