
Apple introduced the M3 Ultra chip, which has been launched as the fastest Mac chip so far. M3 Ultra has taken its place in the new Mac Studio.

Offering a higher performance up to 2.6 times M1 Ultra, the new chip makes the Thunderbolt 5 connection possible, with united memory support up to 512 GB, it breaks down on personal computers and offers memory bandwidth up to 819 GB/S. The M3 Ultra chip has a CPU up to 32 cores with 24 performance seeds and eight efficiency seeds.
Apple says that the M3 ultra chip has two M3 Max chips that are essentially combined with the “Ultrafusion” technology. Therefore, the characteristics of the chip are doubled compared to the M3 Max. Last year, there were speculation that the M3 Max chip lacked ultrafusion technology, but Apple’s announcement today proved that this rumor was wrong.
As in the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, the M3 ultra chip includes Thunderbolt 5 support for data transfer speeds up to 120 GB/sec.
