Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order finally dropped some good news for Cities: Skylines II fans today. After months of waiting, the game’s modding tools are finally debuting in beta form. The game will also receive a DLC pack that includes modding tools, as well as a new wave of housing and a new radio station.
Colossal Order has been delaying the launch of its modding tools, called Editors, since the launch of Cities: Skylines 2. The company granted some content creators access to studio tools in early 2024. As of March 25, these vehicles will be available to all players. However, let’s not forget to say that some features will be missing.
Developers state that the Paradox Mod platform allows players to access other people’s mods in addition to their own mods. The company also published a roadmap showing all the updates.
If we look at the new content to come, the Beach Properties DLC will be available for $9.99. The Deluxe Relax Station package will be sold for $4.99 and will add a full hour of new music.
Both Cities: Skylines II beta modding tools and premium DLC packs will be released on March 25. With the postponement of the content calendar, the game’s first major expansion pack, Bridges & Ports, is planned to be released in the fourth quarter of 2024.
