The fifth expansion pack called Janthir Wilds has been announced for the MMORPG game Guild Wars 2, released by ArenaNet in 2012. Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds release date is set for August 20 and pre-orders have started for $ 24.99.
Bonus items include the Serpent’s Wrath weapon set, Whispering Serpent Pauldrons shoulder armor, the Homesteader character title, a common inventory slot, and a level 80 character boost. Additionally, there is a Deluxe Edition for $49.99 and an Ultimate Edition for $74.99.
Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds will add many new features and content, such as affordable player residences called Homesteads, which feature a brand new customization and decoration interface so heroes can create and decorate their own residential spaces for their friends and guildmates.
The expansion also adds the first new end-game PvE Raid to Guild Wars 2 since 2019, featuring challenging boss battles. Two new explorable maps will also be available: the idyllic Lowland Coast and the stormy Janthir Syntri. A third map will also be added in future updates.
All professions (classes) will finally have the chance to use their land spears. This new weapon type will be available during a limited-time beta test between June 27-30. The Warclaw mount is also available in PvP’s World vs. A new option to exit World mode and explore the mountains and river valleys of Janthir, it will join the player’s stable of mounts and use its unique double-jump ability to navigate challenging terrain. Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds will also feature Titans, vaguely described as mysterious magical beings native to the land. Titans will be able to channel the energy of the land.
Players looking for new legendary items to farm will find a spear and backpack item, as well as a variety of new, non-legendary armor and weapon sets.
ArenaNet announced that Guild Wars 2 will also be coming to the Epic Games Store after its release on Steam later this summer.
