It looks like Instagram will soon allow you to add a reason when sending a follow request so that a user who doesn’t know you can have an idea about you. This feature reveals features that Instagram had previously been developing. Alessandro Paluzzi Reported by.
An alleged screenshot of the feature shared by Paluzzi suggests that Instagram may give you the option to choose from a variety of options. The description of the feature reads, “Choose a reason to add it to your follow request. “This helps the person know who you are,” it reads.

There is currently no information about what these options will be or whether there will be an option to add private messages to users. However, it stands out that the feature is a change that the social network is working on to protect users against strangers. Instagram changed the way these message requests work to ensure that people who don’t follow you can only send a Direct Message request.
The company is also working on the ability to disable read receipts in the app. Instagram President Adam Mosseri announced in November that they had begun testing the feature and that a new toggle button would allow users to hide their “Seen” status.
