For Mortal Kombat 1 players, Homelander, the superhero of the popular series of Amazon Prime Video platform called The Boys, will finally be added to the fighters of the game on Tuesday, June 4. NetherRealms did not forget to release a Homelander gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 in the announcement.
Developer NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. Games’ new gameplay trailer shows Homelander going head-to-head with several classic Mortal Kombat characters, including Katana and Sub-Zero. Homelander can punch, kick, and throw fighters to the ground, but his best attack is with his heat-emitting eyes.
In the trailer, we also hear Homelander speaking from the game, but unfortunately the voice is nothing like that of actor Antony Starr, who plays Homelander in The Boys TV series. Starr had previously stated on social media that he would not be voicing the character in his appearance in Mortal Kombat 1.
You can access Homelander along with five other DLC players (Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda, Invincible’s Omni-Man, and DC Comics’ Peacemaker) on June 4 by purchasing the Premium Edition of the game. Ferra will join the game in June as a new cameo fighter.
