Samsung has reached an important agreement with Preferred Networks (PFN), one of the well-known companies in the field of artificial intelligence. The Japanese company’s switch from TSMC to Samsung surprised everyone. With the agreement between the two companies, the first steps of the transition to the 2nm production process were taken.
Within the framework of the agreement, Samsung started to prepare 2nm AI chips for PFN, but the performance of the South Korean company’s 2nm production technique is not yet known. Samsung is said to lag behind TSMC in terms of performance and efficiency.
We also expect further improvements in the Exynos chips used in phones. It is claimed that the next Exynos 2500 will have a 10-core structure similar to the Exynos 2400. It is also said that ARM’s Cortex-X5 core will be used in Exynos 2500.
