Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that the Apple Watch Series 10 smartwatches will receive a form factor upgrade and come with a larger screen size. Accordingly, the Apple smart watch will come in sizes of 45 mm and 49 mm and will have a thinner design.
The current generation Apple Watch Series 9 is available in 41 mm and 45 mm sizes. Meanwhile, the more expensive Apple Watch Ultra 2 is reportedly available in 49mm size. Apple may also offer new case color options for the Apple Watch Ultra if “production efficiencies are met.” Apart from this, technical specifications are generally expected to remain the same.
Kuo added that Apple will add 3D printed components to the Apple Watch later this year. BLT will be the supplier of 3D printed components for the Apple Watch. The analyst states that although there was no mass production last year, intensive testing last year significantly increased the production efficiency of 3D printing.
Apple Watch Series 10 is expected to launch later this year and will be supported by watchOS 11, which was previewed earlier this month. There are also reports that Apple is working on an Apple Watch X to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its smartwatch.
