OpenAI announced its Spring Event ChatGPT-4o large language model, as well as the ChatGPT desktop application for Mac.
The company states that you will be able to make voice calls with ChatGPT directly from your computer, starting with the Voice mode available in ChatGPT, with new audio and video features to be introduced in the future of GPT-4o. Whether you are brainstorming a new idea for your company, preparing for an interview, or have a topic you want to discuss, simply tap the headset icon in the lower right corner of the desktop application to start a voice conversation.
ChatGPT Plus paid subscribers will be able to access the new macOS desktop application starting today. The application will also be available to free users in the coming weeks.
OpenAI says the desktop app will also come to Windows in the future. On the other hand, the app will not be available until later this year.
