It has been revealed that the new generation iPad models may feature a horizontal Apple logo. French website Numerama, who interviewed three senior Apple employees about the new iPad Pro models, learned about this potential change for future iPads.
As you know, the Apple logo on the back of iPads is positioned vertically. While tablets are generally used in landscape orientation with the keyboard attached, this causes the Apple logo to appear sideways. Finally, Apple moved the front camera to the long side on the right side in the M4 iPad Pro and M2 iPad Air models. Thus, the front camera was placed in the upper middle when the devices were in a horizontal position.
With landscape usage becoming increasingly popular, Apple Product Designer Molly Anderson said a horizontal Apple logo is possible on future iPads. Anderson added that the iPad has long been used in portrait mode, but users are increasingly using the tablet in landscape mode.
On the other hand, let us remind you that as of iPadOS 14.5, Apple has started to display a horizontal Apple logo when the tablet is started in a horizontal position.
