WhatsApp, under the umbrella of Meta, now introduces the message pinning feature to its users. In this way, you will have the opportunity to pin messages to the top of the chat.
How to Pin a WhatsApp Message?
WhatsApp announced on its official channel that this new feature is available. After the update, you will be able to pin a message for 24 hours, 7 days or up to 30 days. Instructions on how to pin the message are shared on the app’s FAQ page:
“The pinned message will appear as a banner at the top of the chat until it is unpinned.
- Android: Press and hold the message and click on the three dots. > Tap Pin > select the pin duration (24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days) > tap Pin.
- iPhone: Press and hold the message. Tap More options > Pin > select pin duration (24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days).
- Web and Desktop: Go to the message you want to pin and click the downward arrow. > Click Pin message > Select the pin duration (24 hours, 7 days or 30 days) > Click Pin.”
Although the feature is currently available to all WhatsApp users on all platforms, it should be noted that it may take some time for it to reach everyone. In the meantime, we recommend that you make sure you have the latest version of the application for iOS and Android.
