Sabrent announced its new flagship M2 PCIe 5.0 SSD model, called Rocket 5, which can reach speeds up to 14 GBps. Sabrent Rocket 5 is the successor of the Rocket 4 Plus and Rocket 4 Plus G models.
Sabrent Rocket 5 Features
We should point out from the beginning that Sabrent has not disclosed all the features of the Rocket 5 model. The company offers the Rocket 5 in three configurations: 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. You can also get each model with an optional cooler that includes two copper pipes and a 20 mm fan for active cooling.
In terms of speed, Sabrent promises an impressive 14 GBps when connected to a PCIe 5.0 motherboard. However, lower capacity models operate slightly slower than the more expensive model. The driver also supports DirectStorage for faster loading times in optimized games.
Rocket 5 is powered by Phison PS5026-E26 Max14um controller and Micron B58R 232-layer 3D TLC NAND chips with LPDDR4 DRAM cache.
Sabrent Rocket 5 Price
Sabrent Rocket 5 carries a price tag of $190 for the 1TB model, $340 for the 2TB model, and $730 for the highest capacity option with 4TB of space.
