Mojang announced the future of not only new features, but also a major graphic renewal with Minecraft Live. To increase the vibrant visuals experience in the game soon, will include directional lighting, volumetric fog and “thousands of separately prepared item”.
Improvements, including volumetric lighting, mean that you can watch the sun’s rays carving the Upper Earth and each block will form its own shadow. You will be able to enter through your light windows and see the reflections on the surface of the water and metal blocks, while sub -surface scattering will bring a soft glow to the leaves and grass.
The update is only for the visual aspect of the game and that it works locally without any impact on the game mechanics. This means that there will be no advantages or disadvantages for players in the realms with and where there is no live visuals. In addition, the graphic renewal will work with the old worlds.
Live visuals will initially be available for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Mojang plans to bring this to Minecraft: Java Edition. For now, there is no information about which devices will support the graphic feature set that is completely renewed at the launch.
Mojang is not ready to share any release date. On the other hand, it promises to allow players to prevent Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Preview and Beta to test the early versions of update on certain devices.
